The PMI’s Standard for Portfolio management 4th (2017) is available for purchase and download.
Main changes:
- Portfolio Life Cycle is properly defined;
- Performance Management is detailed into Capacity, Capability, and Value management
- Stakeholder Engagement instead of Communication management
- Linkage to Business Strategy Execution is defined

PM trainings upgrade to PMBOK 6th Roadmap
PMI(r) has officially informed education providers (R.E.P.’s) that:
- PMP(r) preparation courses should START upgrading to PMBOK6th since January 1st, 2018.
- Other PDU-granted courses based on PMBOK5th are valid till March, 26th, 2018 – the date when new PMBOK6th based exam takes place.
- PMP(r) exam will be still based on the same ECO, so its structure remains unchanged.

PMP exam based on PMBOK 6th comes on March, 26th. Prior to this date the current version based on PMBOK fifth is available.

PMBoK 6th is available
The new PMBOK sixth edition is available now.
It contains a Project management Standard and Practice Tools and Techniques.
Different project models such as waterfall, phased, iterative, and adaptive are described. The Agile practices are separated into an additional Practical Guide.
The new knowledge area – Knowledge management – expanded the Execution process group.
Time management is Schedule management now, and
Human Resource management became simply Resource management, and it covers management of all types of resources.
