ITIL® Membership included with each new ITIL® Foundation certificate
AXELOS(r) announced: “Axelos (r) ITIL® Membership with each new ITIL Foundation certificate awarded from 1 January 2018. AXELOS will contact each candidate that has earned their ITIL Foundation certificate this year to activate their subscription to ITIL Membership. To start using their subscription, the candidates’ ITIL qualification details must appear on AXELOS’ Successful Candidates Register (SCR), which they can opt in to throughPeopleCert’s online portal. ”
It’s a very good news! Pass the Foundation ITIL(r) certification and get an annual access to a wide knowledgebase of AXELOS’ community.
ITIL certifications in Peoplecert
As it had been announced a year ago, the Peoplecert is now the single provider for ITIL and PrinceII certifications in the AXELOS(r) ITIL(r) and Prince(r) domains.
The certification exams are available both on-line and classroom.
Important notes for candidates:
- Classroom – i.e. by accredited exam provider – certifications has a long (up to 2 weeks) procedure of applying and approving.
- On-line exams are available anywhere with a real-time proctoring. A candidate must choose a certain schedule for taking an exam.

ITIL to be renewed in 2018
AXELOS(r) – the official ITIL delivering organization – officially notified the community, that in 2018 a wide discussion to be held on a new version of ITIL(r):
The main features of discussion and ITIL(r) new version are the following:
- “The core elements of ITIL will remain and will continue to derive from the experiences of thousands of specialists and experts. Research has confirmed that ITIL remains best practice for the ITSM industry.
- The Update will include practical guidance on how ITIL is adopted in conjunction with practices such as DevOps, Agile and Lean.
- Individuals who have already certified will have their current certifications recognised in the new scheme.”

ITIL Practitioner exam news
AXELOS(r) announces that more time would be available for the ITIL(r) Practitioner exam: 2hrs. 15 min. instead 1hr. 45 min. since March, 1st.
EXIN exits from the AXELOS ITIL certification program
AXELOS(r) announced that only PEOPLECERT will hold the examination program for AXELOS portfolio (ITIL(r), PRINCE2(r)) since January, 1st, 2018.
EXIN(r) and 3 other examination institutions keep their rights for examination programs during 2017.
New conditions and transition rules to be announced further.
