ITIL to be renewed in 2018

AXELOS(r) – the official ITIL delivering organization – officially notified the community, that in 2018 a wide discussion to be held on a new version of ITIL(r):

The main features of discussion and ITIL(r) new version are the following:

  • “The core elements of ITIL will remain and will continue to derive from the experiences of thousands of specialists and experts. Research has confirmed that ITIL remains best practice for the ITSM industry.
  • The Update will include practical guidance on how ITIL is adopted in conjunction with practices such as DevOps, Agile and Lean.
  • Individuals who have already certified will have their current certifications recognised in the new scheme.”

AXELOS(r) announces that more time would be available for the ITIL(r) Practitioner exam: 2hrs. 15 min. instead 1hr. 45 min. since March, 1st.

EXIN exits from the AXELOS ITIL certification program

AXELOS(r) announced that only PEOPLECERT will hold the examination program for AXELOS portfolio (ITIL(r), PRINCE2(r)) since January, 1st, 2018.

EXIN(r) and 3 other examination institutions keep their rights for examination programs during 2017.

New conditions and transition rules to be announced further.
